"Prioritizing God and Public Safety: A Sunday in the Zamboanga City Police Office"

On Sunday morning, we reported early to the Zamboanga City Police Office. The staff duty officer accommodated and provided us with a vehicle to perform our subsequent activities. We went to Fort Pilar, Zamboanga City, attended Sunday mass, and at the same time observed police visibility in the area.

Fort Pilar, the shrine of Our Lady of the Pillar, was built in the 17th century to protect Christian settlers against Moro (local Muslim) pirates; it now houses a branch of the national museum.

Despite the activities and responsibilities that PNP members perform, we should continue to uphold our religious obligations and be reminded that our creator is the primary reason we are alive today, yesterday, and tomorrow. We will be able to live according to God's instructions and be a living example of how much He loves His creation.

We must prioritize God in our relationships, no matter the connection. He should be the most crucial person in our lives, and His word can help guide us on how to love and respect others. We can better care for those around us by deepening our relationship with Him.

As a cadet of the Philippine National Police Academy, I have learned that it is important to prioritize God in all aspects of life. We must remember that he is the ultimate source of strength and guidance and should be the most crucial person in our lives. We must also strive to be exemplary servants to our nation, fellow Filipinos, and God. [1]
