On the eleventh day of our Cadet Attachment program, the station commander of Police Station 11 led the morning exercise and road run in which we participated. The Field Training Program Trainees and Criminology Interns from Universidad de Zamboanga are also involved in the activities. We started our road run at around 5:45 a.m. and finished by 6:30 a.m.
As PNP employees, we must ensure that our bodies are in good health to carry out our duties and obligations in serving and safeguarding our community. We may have stayed physically and emotionally healthy by maintaining our body mass index (BMI) through this consistent activity. This will serve as a stepping stone for trainees and interns preparing for their chosen profession. People in the neighborhood may see PNP as an excellent example of a lovely and healthy lifestyle that people should imitate with this short road run.

Additionally, we participated in the second nightly activity that is necessary for the duration of the Cadet Attachment Program. This time, we participated in OPLAN SITA, a campaign to catch those driving without a license and unapproved or modified motorcycle parts, alongside Zamboanga City Police Station 11. In line with the PNP's mandate to prevent and control crimes, the conduct of OPLAN SITA was initiated by PS11. It is to intensify police presence in the area to prevent crimes, especially in the streets at night. The operating personnel showed the cadets the procedures for conducting this operation based on the PNP's bible, the Police Operational Procedure Manual.
During the operations, we observed a variety of attitudes among the general populace. While some comply with the commands of our law enforcement personnel, others do not. When they received a Temporary Operator's Permit (TOP) for a traffic infraction, I overheard them using offensive language against PNP personnel.
We graduating cadets are fortunate to have been exposed to various internal attitudes. It is challenging to live in the field when dealing with diverse people's opinions. Now we know why inside the Academy, we are hardened physically and emotionally so that we avoid getting stuck with the different attitudes of people outside when we are in the service. It is also essential that we have maximum tolerance to protect our name in any situation, as well as that of the PNP organization. [1] [2]
The eleventh day of our Cadet Attachment Program has taught us many valuable lessons. We have learned the importance of physical fitness and how it can help us in our future careers as police officers. We have also seen the importance of asking questions and being actively involved in learning.
