"He who plants a tree plants hope."-Lucy Larcom.
It was another important day, and we had a tree-planting activity in Brgy. Cabatangan, Zamboanga City, was initiated by Police Station 7 as part of its Police Community Relations program. Criminology intern students from Universidad de Zamboanga and Immaculate Conception Archdiocesan College Senior High School also participate in this activity. This activity was not just to build relationships with the local community but also to contribute to the next generation's well-being because nature is one of the most vital aspects of this earth to sustain life.
Through this activity, we can interact with other students who are also interested in joining the uniform service. We told some students to persevere in their studies because our country needs more well-founded officers to support our government's programs toward the attainment of our common goal, which is to have a progressive and peaceful country to live in.
In line with the PNP's core values of Makakalikasan, dubbed "KALIGKASAN" (Kaligtasan at Kalikasan), a program that aims to forge a stronger relationship between the police and the community to support the government's agenda for peace and order, security, and protecting the environment, It is consistent with the PNP's basic concept, "Makakalikasan," which states that a police officer should be able to defend nature from threats and dangers.
It will significantly contribute to the improvement of our neighborhood if every member of the community adopts this core principle. The activity supports the government's campaign for environmental protection by maintaining a balanced ecosystem and preserving our natural resources.
With this activity, the local government of Zamboanga, notably Barangay Cabatangan, the students involved or who volunteered to join the program, and the cadets, helped have a good relationship with each other. Taking care of our nature is the duty and responsibility of all of us, so we should help each other take care of it.
The tree-planting activity in Brgy. Cabatangan, Zamboanga City, initiated by Sta. Maria, Police Station 7, is an excellent example of how the PNP can build relationships with the local community and contribute to the next generation's well-being.
This activity is a great opportunity for cadets to learn the importance of environmental protection and to maintain a balanced ecosystem. It is also a great way to foster camaraderie and cooperation among the cadets and the local community.
