"Learning from Cadets: Improving Barracks Inspection at RTC 9"

This day was another chance to visit the Regional Training Center 9. We participated in the Saturday barracks inspection of the PSBRC 2022-01 and JLC 2022-01.
It was an opportunity to witness the program of instruction of the RTC 9 trainees and participate at the same time by sharing some standards for improving their training. We imparted some knowledge on how to conduct a proper barracks inspection. Likewise, we gave the recruits tips on what should be done when preparing for an inspection.
RTC 9 conducted their Saturday barracks and rank inspection to evaluate the recruits' uniform and bearing quality and to ensure that they comply with the cleanliness of their prospective barracks. Proper decorum must always be observed for the recruits to instill discipline and make them good police officers in the future.
During the inspection, the cleanliness of their barracks was far from what the Cadet Corps observed. When hearing the words dorm and rank inspection, all cadets get busy and waste no time making sure everything is spick and span. We cannot even bring the standard of the Cadet Corps here in RTC 9, but we can share with them our ideas that will help them improve next time.
Who would have thought that many good things in the Cadet Corps should also be taught outside and be something to be proud of? As future leaders, we must be flexible and know a lot, especially about the career we have chosen to pursue.
As a cadet in the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), one of the most important lessons we learned today is discipline and following orders. This is especially true regarding drills and ceremonies, as these are essential for maintaining order and instilling respect among cadets. [1][2]
